Fireside Medium/Dark Roast
A local, organic medium-dark roast with enough body to anchor your morning and enough smoothness to not need anything added to it.
What It Is
Fireside is roasted locally and certified organic, which means the beans skipped the synthetic pesticides and the long supply chain. Medium-dark sits right in the middle ground of the roast spectrum: darker than a bright, acidic light roast, lighter than a bitter French roast. You get warmth, a little sweetness, and a full body without the charred edge that darker roasts can leave behind.
It is the kind of coffee that makes sense every day. Not a novelty, not a single-origin curiosity. Just a reliably good cup that happens to come from close to home.
What To Do
Brew it however you like. It pulls well as a drip, a French press, or a pour-over. For French press, use about two tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee per six ounces of water, steep four minutes, and press slow. For drip, one to two tablespoons per six ounces is the standard starting point, and you can adjust from there to taste.
Grind fresh if you can, right before brewing. Store whole beans in an airtight container at room temperature, away from light. They stay at their best within a few weeks of roast.
