Pizza Cashews
A cashew that tastes like the inside of a good slice: oregano, tomato, fennel, garlic, a little heat. Snack food that actually earns its name.
What It Is
These are dry roasted cashews seasoned with the full lineup of a classic pizza spice rack. Tomato powder and nutritional yeast do the heavy lifting, giving you that savory, slightly tangy depth without any actual sauce. Fennel and oregano round it out. A touch of maple sugar and cayenne land at the end, just enough sweetness and warmth to keep you reaching back in.
Fair trade and organic, which means the cashews start from a place of decent standards before the seasoning even touches them.
What To Do
Eat them straight. That is the honest answer. They are a snack first, and they are good at it. Pack them for lunch, put them in a bowl at a gathering, or eat them over the sink after work.
They also do real work chopped and scattered over a Caesar salad, or used as a topping on a flatbread in place of croutons. Store in a cool, dry spot and eat within a few weeks for best crunch. If they lose their snap, ten minutes in a 300 degree oven brings them back.
