Rainbow Sprinkles
Tiny, crunchy, colorful. These get their reds and yellows from vegetable juice, annatto, and turmeric instead of the synthetic dyes on most sprinkle labels.
What It Is
Classic jimmies, made without artificial dyes. The colors come from real sources: turmeric for yellow, spirulina for blue and green, annatto for orange, vegetable juices for the rest. Carnauba wax gives them that faint shine and keeps them from sticking together.
The ingredient list is short and readable, which is rare for something this festive. They are gluten free, so they work for most any celebration without the usual label-checking.
What To Do
Use them exactly like any sprinkle: on frosted cupcakes, donuts, sugar cookies, or a scoop of ice cream. Press them on right after frosting while it is still tacky, or they will slide off.
A small handful goes a long way. Store in a cool, dry spot and they will keep for months without clumping. The colors stay bright even after a short stint in the oven on a decorated cookie.
