Raspberry Green Tea

Raspberry Green Tea

Bright, a little tart, and just enough caffeine to feel like a treat: this green tea gets its berry punch from real raspberries and hibiscus, not just flavoring.

What It Is

This is a blended tea built around organic green tea leaves, with hibiscus petals, dried raspberries, and natural raspberry flavor doing the heavy lifting on color and taste. The hibiscus gives it a deep pink brew and a citrusy tartness that plays well against the grassy base of the green tea.

Because green tea is lower in caffeine than black, this one sits comfortably in that middle zone, enough to feel like something, not enough to keep you up. The hibiscus also pulls the flavor toward fruit punch territory, which makes it approachable for people who find plain green tea too vegetal.

What To Do

Use about one heaping teaspoon per eight-ounce cup. Steep in hot water, around 175 to 185 degrees, for two to three minutes. Boiling water can turn green tea bitter, so let the kettle rest a minute off the heat. Sweeten lightly with honey if you like.

This one is especially good iced. Brew it double strength, pour over ice, and add a squeeze of lemon. Store loose tea in a sealed container away from light and heat, and it will keep its flavor for about a year.
