Semi Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips
The mini version of a pantry staple, and the smarter one. Smaller chips melt faster, spread more evenly, and mean more chocolate in every single bite.
What It Is
These are made from just three ingredients: organic cane sugar, cocoa mass, and cocoa butter. No fillers, no emulsifiers, no vanilla added in. That short list means clean chocolate flavor, the kind that actually tastes like cocoa rather than a chocolate-flavored coating.
The mini size is not just smaller. It changes how the chip behaves. More surface area means they melt into baked goods rather than staying in discrete pockets, which is exactly what you want in a thin cookie, a quick bread, or a pancake.
What To Do
Use them anywhere you would use standard chips, and expect better coverage. A quarter cup scattered through muffin batter goes further than it would with full-size chips. They are also good stirred into oatmeal while it is still hot, or melted straight into a ganache without the wait.
For melting, use a heatproof bowl set over a pot of barely simmering water, stirring often, and pull them off the heat before the last few pieces fully dissolve. Store in a cool, dry spot away from strong smells. They will keep for months.
